DEEBOT created a map that is confusing/skewed/overlaid/incomplete
For Confusing Maps, Skewed, Overlaid:
Ensure the map has been saved successfully and area functions can be used
normally.
Turn off DEEBOT's power switch, turn it back on, and place it correctly on
the charging dock to attempt to recover the map. If the map cannot be
recovered, try moving the charging dock to a different location and create a
new map.
Recommendations for Best Results:
Position the charging dock against a wall, ensuring there are no obstacles
within 0.5 meters on either side and 1 meter in front of it.
Avoid moving DEEBOT & charging dock during the cleaning process.
If issues persist, delete the existing map in the app and remap the area.
Prepare the Area before mapping:
Before starting the mapping process, open all doors to the rooms you
want DEEBOT to map.
Organize the space to allow DEEBOT to move freely.
If a door was closed during mapping, open it during the next cleaning
session. DEEBOT will automatically enter the room, and the map will
update.
High Thresholds: Use virtual walls in the app to manage areas with high
thresholds.
Dark Floors: Cover dark surfaces with light mats to improve mapping
accuracy.
Strong Direct Light: Close curtains or map the area at a different time
to reduce the impact of strong sunlight.
Cover Long/Full-Lenght Mirrors: Full length mirrors makes the Deebot
feel there is extra space and considers it as a new area while mapping.
Cover the long mirror for 5 inch from bottom with asthetic wall papers
or any other furniture which does not create a hindrance for mapping.
Ensure people or pets do not follow DEEBOT while it is mapping.
